Cal Tri Events concludes its southwest race season at 2025 Cal Tri Austin - 9.21.25 with participation 20% higher than the March 2025 race.
The September race will be the largest Cal Tri Events race outside the Golden State. The growth is driven by first-time athletes taking advantage of Cal Tri Events Consumer Protection Policies, including $85 all-in early bird pricing, free youth races, an industry-best divine intervention policy, and the best 15 words in triathlon: Free race transfers, deferrals & participant transfers as late as the day before the race.
Race Highlights
- 45% first timers. 274 of 610 registrants are first-time multisport athletes.
- 18 event options. Triathlon, runbikerun, swimbike, swimrun, swim, and run options are available at both sprint and olympic distances.
- 18 states represented. Athletes are coming from Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Louisiana, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, Washington, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico.
Free Swim & Coaching Clinic
Saturday's Athletica Free Swim & Coaching Clinic is a 90-minute session for registered athletes. Athletes receive instruction and practice the five focals of faster swimming, followed by dryland instruction to get race ready. The session is free to registered athletes courtesy of Athletica.
