Taking place on Sunday, September 15, 2024, Cal Tri Fort Worth in North Central Texas has officially reached capacity, attracting athletes from 23 states across the US and Canada.

According to Cal Tri Events, the sell-out marks another milestone for the continued expansion of its short course triathlon racing proposition in the USA.

This triathlon is part of the Cal Tri Events series, billed as the largest national short-course triathlon series in the US. The series takes a ‘safe, affordable and accessible approach’ to multisport races – with a range of racing options designed to accommodate a wide range of athletes, from beginners to seasoned triathletes.

This is the fourth edition of Cal Tri Fort Worth, made possible by the support of the City of Fort Worth, the Fort Worth Police Department and the Fort Worth Fire Department.

Participant ages range from 8 to 81 and the 2024 Cal Tri Fort Worth event reportedly has a participant base with 41% first time triathletes.

Cal Tri notes that… ‘A special thanks goes out to Site Barricades who provide logistical support and FW Tri Club – Friends Who Tri, a local club that encourages their members to race and volunteer.’

Cal Tri is billed as the largest national short-course triathlon series in the US – with athletes enjoying free race transfers, deferrals & participant transfers as late as the day before the race.
