Two-time Olympic gold medalist Alistair Brownlee is set to make his debut over the half-iron distance this Saturday, April 22, at Challenge Mogan-Gran Canaria. Should be fun to see his strategy of stretching out all that short course speed.
And of course he wins with a 4:03:09 and sets a new course record. I can’t wait to see what he can do at St. George in a couple weeks. With many of the top half men like Sanders and Kienle there, it should be a great test for Alistair and a fun race to watch. Frodeno isn’t on the start list at this point…wonder what’s up with that? Still not recovered from the mechanical issue at Oceanside or scared to go up against Sanders and Brownlee.
